Destiny 2 is about to celebrate a major milestone—the franchise’s 10th anniversary! With Bungie’s looter-shooter reaching a decade, fans are eagerly awaiting the event that promises to bring a nostalgic experience with new rewards, and secrets.
Over the past decade, Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 have seen numerous expansions that have shaped the game’s evolving universe. Starting with The Dark Below in 2014 and House of Wolves in 2015 for the original Destiny, players were then introduced to the beloved The Taken King and Rise of Iron.
Destiny 2 followed suit with major expansions like Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, and Lightfall, before the release of the critically acclaimed expansion, The Final Shape, which concluded the decade-long Light and Darkness saga.
Destiny 2 10th Anniversary: Start and End Date
According to the latest This Week In Destiny blog article, the Destiny 2 10th anniversary event will start next week, rumored to be on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Bungie will reveal more details about this on the same day. (Monday)
Destiny 2 10th Anniversary: Armor, Title, and Seal
Each class—Titan, Hunter, and Warlock—will get a new armor set in the Destiny 2 10th Anniversary event, called Veteran Legend. The designs for these three sets are directly inspired by the early concept art of Destiny 1.

In addition to new armor, there are also new Seal and Title exclusive to this event. By completing all the objectives in this seal, players can unlock the new title called “Legend”.
Below, you can see all the “Legend” Seal objectives in Destiny 2:
- Collect all “Cayde-6 Stashes”.
- Reach Guardian Rank 8 or higher.
- Complete ritual activities with the “Veteran Legend” sets equipped.
- Complete Timeline Reflections.
- Decrypt engrams at Rahool.
- Defeat enemies and loot engrams in the Skywatch with the “Veteran Legend” sets equipped.
- Claim the Anniversary Armor ornaments from the Special Deliveries Terminal.
Destiny 2 10th Anniversary will also add a new emblem called Decennium. Here’s how it looks:

For those who love to collect real-world Destiny memorabilia, the 10th-anniversary event won’t disappoint. One of the most anticipated items is the Ace of Spades NERF replica, a perfect homage to Cayde-6 and one of the game’s most iconic weapons.
