Here’s how to get the Liminal Vigil sidearm in Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine, along with our recommended PvE and PvP god rolls.
With the Rite of the Nine event live, three dungeons, Prophecy, Ghosts of the Deep, and Spire of the Watcher, have updated loot pools. One weapon returning with a new set of perks is Liminal Vigil, and it’s looking better than ever.
Liminal Vigil is a Heavy Burst Stasis sidearm from the Spire of the Watcher dungeon. It’s great in PvP thanks to its fast time-to-kill and stable handling, but it also has strong PvE options with a mix of Stasis synergy and raw damage.

How to Get Liminal Vigil in Destiny 2
You can get Liminal Vigil by completing the Spire of the Watcher dungeon during the Rite of the Nine event. Loot from these dungeons can now be attuned, similar to how it worked in the Into the Light update. Just head to the Emissary of the Nine in the event’s social space to attune your weapons.
Each weapon also includes a short quest that gives you one guaranteed drop when you finish the dungeon.
Recommended loadout tips for Spire of the Watcher:
- Use Lord of Wolves with a machine gun for the opening encounters
- Bring The Queenbreaker for the Harpy boss
- Sleeper Simulant is solid for the final fight
All Rite of the Nine weapons also come with the new Gravity Well origin trait, which picks up nearby ammo when you reload.
