Here are the god rolls for the VS Gravitic Arrest fusion rifle in Destiny 2, along with how you can unlock it.
Vesper’s Host, the dungeon introduced with Episode: Revenant, has brought with it a new set of Braytech flavor weapons, each with brand new perks and top-tier perk combinations.
VS Gravitic Arrest is a Void Adaptive Fusion Rifle available from Vesper’s Host. It’s got great perk combinations for both PvE and PvP and is more than viable as a top-tier pick for both.
Let’s see how to get it, and what perks you should be looking for.
How to Get VS Gravitic Arrest in Destiny 2
VS Gravitic Arrest can be obtained by completing any encounter in the Vesper’s Host dungeon. Activation, Raeniks Unified, and the Corrupted Puppeteer encounters all have a chance to drop VS Gravitic Arrest.
Another way to get this weapon is through weapon focusing in Vesper’s Host. However, in order to do this, you’ll need to complete a lengthy quest called “Rogue Network”. If you wondering how to complete this quest, we have a complete guide that will walk you through each step here.
Destiny 2 VS Gravitic Arrest PvE God Roll
This roll recommendation is for eliminating Elite enemies and as a DPS option.
Column | Perks |
---|---|
Barrel | Hammer Forged Rifling (+10 Range) |
Magazine | Liquid Coils (+5 Impact, +40ms Charge Time) |
Trait (3rd Column) | Demolitionist – Kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves. |
Trait (4th Column) | Withering Gaze – Aiming this weapon for a short period of time without firing grants the ability to weaken the next target. Timer resets after firing or when you stop aiming down sights. |
Origin Trait | Bray Legacy – Damage with this weapon generates a small amount of ability energy for the one closest to a full charge. |
Masterwork | Charge Time – (-40ms Charge Time) |
Weapon Mod | Tactical – (+6 Handling, +6 Reload Speed) |
Withering Gaze is a new perk added this season, and Gravitic Arrest is one of three weapons to roll with it. The timer for Withering Gaze may be tricky to nail alongside the charge time, but it’s worth it to weaken on command, allowing you to burn Elites and Champions with ease.
We’ve spread stats around equally, bearing in mind you can reload via Demolitionist. Liquid Coils to get as much damage out of the gun as possible, while negating the Charge Time increase via the Masterwork.
Destiny 2 VS Gravitic Arrest PvP God Roll
The PvP god roll for VS Gravitic Arrest is focused on Range and dueling to nail those deep one-burst Fusion Rifle kills.
Column | Perks |
---|---|
Barrel | Hammer Forged Rifling (+10 Range) |
Magazine | Projection Fuse (+10 Range) |
Trait (3rd Column) | To The Pain – While this weapon is equipped, taking damage increases handling and aim assist until the weapon is stowed. Taking more damage increases the effect. |
Trait (4th Column) | Closing Time – Improves range, accuracy, and handling as the magazine gets lower. |
Origin Trait | Bray Legacy – Damage with this weapon generates a small amount of ability energy for the one closest to a full charge. |
Masterwork | Range (+10 Range) |
Weapon Mod | Ballistics (+6 Range, +6 Stability) |
Closing Time is another new Perk with amazing synergy with traditional Fusion Rifle perks like Under Pressure. Double accuracy perks are no joke, but I think To The Pain is the better 3rd column pick. You’re bound to take damage in a fight with a Fusion Rifle while you charge your shot, and the handling bump definitely helps.
We would not recommend building stacks of To The Pain outside of duels. Feel free to switch to your primary whenever you want – you’ll build those stacks back the next time you have ammo.
We’re pumping as much Range as we can into this, and 54 stability via a Ballistics mod is a solid number. For folks who like a tighter bolt spread, Arrowhead Break is an acceptable option for your Barrel, but I believe the base recoil to be very manageable.
