We are over two months into the Lightfall expansion and the new Root of Nightmares raid that was released a couple of days after the expansion. The Root of Nightmares raid is already named one of the easiest raids in Destiny 2 right now, with over 270,000 completions when the contest mode was active.
Fast-forwarding to late April 2023 when a Destiny 2 Twitch streamer Xemo completed the whole raid solo and without dying—which is a huge achievement. This World’s First run of the Root of Nightmares raid took Xemo around 58 minutes to complete from start to finish.
However, there’s a new record for the fastest solo flawless completion of the Root of Nightmares raid in Destiny 2 and it’s set by none other than Xemo. Yes, this time the speedrun of the whole raid took Xemo around 38 minutes (37 minutes and 34 seconds) to complete, which seems to be the fastest solo flawless completion yet in Destiny 2.

For those unaware, solo flawless completion means completing an activity solo (without any other players) and without dying, which can be a lot difficult in endgame activities like raids, dungeons, grandmaster nightfalls, etc.
Xemo has said that they will give try to get the completion time even lower to 35 minutes. Fans have been astonished by Xemo‘s not only getting the solo flawless world’s first record for the Root of Nightmares but setting a new speed run record as well.
Apart from that, Guardian Games is currently going on in Destiny 2 with Titans taking the first-day win. Bungie has also confirmed that there’s a new weapons level progression buff that players can take advantage of during the Guardian Games event only. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
