A new datamined leak suggests a Destiny 2 and Sea of Thieves crossover is on the way, featuring Destiny-themed ships, weapons, and cosmetics.

If you love the open seas and PvP action of Sea of Thieves, or the sci-fi looter shooter aspect of Destiny 2, then there’s something big coming soon. Both of these games have carved out their own loyal communities.

For seasoned Destiny 2 players, you know Bungie isn’t shy about teaming up with other franchises. Over the years, we’ve seen collaborations with Assassin’s Creed, Fortnite, Ghostbusters, and more recently, Star Wars and Brawhalla, bringing cool new cosmetics and gear to the game. And now, if a recent leak is to be believed, these two worlds are about to meet in a new crossover event.

While Sea of Thieves has had plenty of crossovers before, this new one is coming straight from Bungie’s Destiny 2 universe. The leak doesn’t just suggest a crossover is happening, but it also gives us a sneak peek at all the items coming with it.

Leaked Destiny 2 Collab in Sea of Thieves

The leak was first found by dataminer “kyattocc” on the UnknownCheats website and a Reddit user (thanks, voldernn), revealing a full set of Destiny 2-themed cosmetics coming to Sea of Thieves. These items are labeled under the “Lightbearer Big Bundle,” featuring a costume inspired by the Drifter, the Gambit handler in Destiny 2.

Although Rare has yet to make an official announcement, the leak suggests these Destiny 2 items could arrive later this month. However, it’s unclear whether Destiny 2 will also receive Sea of Thieves-themed cosmetics. As always, we advise taking leaks and rumors with a grain of salt until confirmed.

In other Destiny news, Bungie accidentally released the Rite of the Nine event early last week, with the launch of Episode Heresy Act 2.
