How to Get The Palindrome in Destiny 2
If you want to get your hands on The Palindrome, you’ll need to complete the Nightfall activities when it’s the featured weapon for the week. The standard version drops from Nightfall Strikes, while the Adept version is exclusive to Grandmasters.
Once you’ve unlocked The Palindrome, you can also focus additional rolls at Commander Zavala in the Tower, provided you’ve earned one drop already. The Adept version can also be equipped with Adept mods, giving it even more customization potential.
Destiny 2 The Palindrome PvE God Rolls
For PvE, the goal is to maximize damage, range, and synergy with Arc builds. Here’s our recommended roll:
- Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Tactical Mag
- Perk 1: Explosive Payload – Projectiles create an area-of-effect detonation on impact.
- Perk 2: Rolling Storm – Final blows grant Bolt Charge. While amplified, final blows grant additional Bolt Charge.
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Origin Trait: Vanguard’s Vindication – Provides extra healing on kills.
This roll takes advantage of Explosive Payload for damage consistency and Rolling Storm for Arc synergy, allowing players to generate Bolt Charges quickly in Arc builds. If you’re looking for an alternative, Outlaw can be a great pick for reload speed, and Master of Arms offers a damage boost after kills.
Destiny 2 The Palindrome PvP God Rolls
For PvP, stability and accuracy are the most important factors, especially for controller players. Here’s our recommended roll:
- Barrel: Smallbore
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds
- Perk 1: Elemental Capacitor
- Increased stats based on the currently equipped Super.
- [Solar] increases your reload speed.
- [Arc] increases handling.
- [Void] increases stability.
- [Stasis] moderately controls recoil and increases movement speed when aiming down sights.
- [Strand] increases airborne effectiveness.
- Perk 2: Master of Arms – Kills with any weapon improve this weapon’s damage for a short time.
- Masterwork: Range
- Mod: Icarus Grip (for Airborne Effectiveness)
Elemental Capacitor (Void) drastically increases stability, making The Palindrome feel incredibly smooth. Master of Arms rewards you with extra damage for chaining kills, making it easier to clean up enemies. Opening Shot is a strong alternative for accuracy on the first shot, while Magnificent Howl provides extra lethality when landing consecutive crits. Explosive Payload can also be very useful inside PvP.
The Palindrome is back and better than ever. Whether you’re grinding PvE for Arc synergy or PvP for stability and precision, this hand cannon is worth farming.
