Bungie has added a new armor mod in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep that has seemingly fixed a years-long bug in Gambit.
Talking about Gambit can be challenging because it hasn’t received any significant updates or new maps in the last four years. However, despite that, over 100,000 players continue to enjoy the mode daily in Destiny 2. Gambit was originally introduced in the Forsaken expansion and quickly gained popularity among fans due to its unique combination of gameplay mechanics.
As the game progressed and changed over time, the Gambit game mode also went through some updates. As with other parts of the game, these updates introduced new bugs that affected gameplay.

Even after several years, there is still a major bug in Gambit that hasn’t been resolved. The issue revolves around Gambit motes becoming trapped in the ground, making it impossible for players to collect them.
Good news! In Season of the Deep, a new armor mod has been introduced that might have accidentally fixed the persistent Gambit bug.
New Destiny 2 Powerful Attraction Mod’s Hidden Perk
The armor mod in question is called Powerful Attraction. This mod fits in your class item (Cloaks, Bonds, and Marks) and has a cost of two energy slots. The official description for the Powerful Attraction mod reads: “Automatically collects nearby Orbs of Power when you activate your class ability.”
However, there’s also an additional secret perk that isn’t mentioned in the game: this mod also lets you easily collect nearby Gambit motes when using the class ability, even those that are stuck in the ground.
A Reddit user, u/Clap_Trap posted a video showing how this mod works. In the video, the player uses Hunter’s dodge ability to collect all the Gambit motes nearby. Watch the mod in action below.
This hidden perk works for all three classes: Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. However, it’s most effective for Hunters. By using the Arc Hunter build, you can combine Gambler’s Dodge with Combination Blow melee ability to quickly move through hordes of enemies. Additionally, you can use your class ability to gather nearby motes.
While this new mod makes the whole gambit experience more enjoyable and fun, it’s worth mentioning that this hidden perk is still a bug. Bungie hasn’t said anything about it yet, and most fans want the bug to stay as a feature in the mod, instead of being taken out.
