Looking ahead, Destiny 2’s first expansion in Codename Frontiers—Codename Apollo—is set to launch in Summer 2025. With this new expansion, Bungie is bringing back another fan-favorite exotic sniper rifle from Destiny 1, but with a twist.

How To Get New Land Beyond In Destiny 2
Getting your hands on the New Land Beyond is pretty straightforward, but there’s a catch, you need to pre-order Destiny 2’s Codename: Apollo expansion. According to recent datamines, this sniper rifle is being offered as a pre-order bonus, meaning it won’t be available through regular loot drops or quests. (at least for now)
If you want this weapon as soon as it drops, you’ll need to get your pre-order secured before the expansion launches in Summer 2025. At this point, Bungie hasn’t officially confirmed if New Land Beyond will be obtainable through other means later on, so if you don’t want to risk missing out, pre-ordering is the safest way to claim it.
Destiny 2 New Land Beyond Exotic Perks & Stats
This returning sniper rifle isn’t just a copy-paste from Destiny 1, it’s got a reworked exotic perk called “The Master” and a new perk called “Bullseye Bolster.” Here’s the full exotic perks overview of New Land Beyond:
- The Master: Scoring precision hits increases this weapon’s damage until the wielder’s defeat.
- Bullseye Bolster: Landing a precision hit substantially increases this weapon’s target acquisition, handling, reload speed, and stability for a short duration of time

Leaks also suggest that the weapon gets around 80% damage buff at x24 stacks of The Master. When you hit x20 stacks, the buff name changes to “The Grandmaster.”
Destiny 2 New Land Beyond Exotic Catalyst
Right now, we don’t have any details on whether New Land Beyond will have an exotic catalyst or what it might add to the weapon. Considering this is a pre-order exotic weapon, if there is an exotic catalyst, it will likely become available when the new expansion launches in Summer 2025.
