Bungie has detailed all Exotic weapon changes coming in Destiny 2’s Monument of Triumph update, including balance updates, reworks, and tuning changes.

Destiny 2 is heading toward one of its biggest and most important updates yet. The Monument of Triumph update is set to launch on June 9, 2026, and it will serve as the game’s final major content update as active development comes to a close.

Because of that, there is a lot of attention on what Bungie is changing. Yesterday, Bungie released the first developer insight article for Monument of Triumph. That blog went over the return of the Director, the new Distortions activity that adds more life to Patrol zones, several welcome updates around ritual activities, changes to the Portal, and of course, the long-awaited return of Sparrow Racing League.

Now today, Bungie has released the second Dev Insights article, this time focusing on weapon changes, raid and dungeon updates, and more. In this article, we’ll talk about all the Exotic weapon changes coming with the Monument of Triumph update in Destiny 2.

All Destiny 2 Exotic Weapon Changes Coming With Monument of Triumph

According to Bungie, 28 Exotic weapons are being adjusted with the Monument of Triumph update. These changes include a mix of buffs, tuning updates, perk changes, and in some cases, larger reworks aimed at making older Exotics feel more useful in the current sandbox.

Some of the biggest changes include The Jade Rabbit getting a larger magazine, Firefly, Shoot to Loot, and a new catalyst effect that turns Fate of All Fools stacks into a Micro Missile round. Vex Mythoclast is also getting some much-needed PvE help, including stronger full-auto behavior, ignition effects from Linear Fusion Rifle precision kills, and a catalyst that can now activate from sustained damage.

These changes also arrive at a strange time for Destiny as a franchise. Recent reports have claimed Bungie considered a larger relaunch plan called Destiny Infinity, which would have acted as a new direction for Destiny 2 instead of moving straight into a full Destiny 3.

Apart from that, several Destiny 2 voice actors are sharing their farewell to the game and community, with the latest being Savathun’s voice actor, Debra Wilson.
