Ghosts of the Deep is the newest dungeon in Destiny 2 that is released in Season of the Deep. As the name suggests, it takes Guardians in the depths of Titan’s methane sea.

Similar to any other dungeon in the game, Ghosts of the Deep comes with a brand-new set of armor for each class (Titan, Warlock, and Hunter) along with new legendary weapons and an exotic trace rifle called “The Navigator.”

Speaking of the new dungeon armor, players can get the Artifice version of the armor sets as well by completing the dungeon encounters on Master difficulty. Here’s the good news: players have discovered an exploit that makes it much easier to farm the Artifice armor. Now you don’t have to struggle with the challenging boss fights in the dungeon on Master difficulty anymore.

And if you’re wondering, the Artifice armor gives you an additional slot on your armor that you can use to get a +3 increase in stats without any cost.

New Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon Exploit for Artifice Armor

This exploit is quite simple and only requires a particular exotic weapon, Witherhoard. You need at least one player with the Witherhoard exotic grenade launcher equipped. (or all three players just to be safe)

To easily farm the Artifice armor in the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon, follow these steps: Load into one of the two boss fights (Ecthar, the Shield of Savathun, or Simmumah ur-Nokru) on the Master difficulty, ensuring that at least one player has Witherhoard equipped.

Shoot the boss with Witherhoard and then quickly die by shooting a rocket launcher or heavy grenade launcher on the ground. This causes Witherhoard’s continuous damage to keep hurting the boss, eventually breaking its immune shield and depleting its health completely.

It’s a lot harder to pull off this exploit on the first boss (Ecthar, the Shield of Savathun) because it keeps moving and shooting at you, unlike the final boss (Simmumah ur-Nokru) who stays still until you break the Ghost shell to start the fight. You can watch Cheese Forver’s video below.

And if you’re wondering what loot you can get from both of these encounters, make sure to check out our complete loot table for the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon here.

You have a couple of options to find specific dungeon checkpoints in Destiny 2. One way is to use the official Fireteam Finder LFG feature in the Destiny 2 Companion app. Another option is to use third-party tools like D2Checkpoint.com.

It’s important to note that using this exploit on the final boss takes around 20 minutes to complete per run. Furthermore, due to the significant impact of this exploit, it’s highly likely that Bungie will disable the Witherhoard exotic sooner rather than later.

So, to take advantage of this exploit while it’s still possible. We will update this guide if Bungie issues a fix for this exploit.

And there you have it! The new and easy Artifice armor farm in the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon. Happy farming, Guardians!
